Day 12- 903 Brewery

I've been looking forward to visiting this brewery for MONTHS.  They are a personal favorite that I get through Tavour (though at a mark-up) so it was nice to actually go there. Needless to say I spent a fair amount on Beer...and i'm okay with that.  I can enjoy my own beverages for the rest of the trip. 

U-Drop Inn and Watertown- Shamrock, TX

The morning started at the U-Drop Inn and Cafe.  Which will live on forever in Pixar's Cars. I had the pleasure of talking to a women who worked in the original cafe starting in 7th grade as a dish washer and then as a waitress.  She met her husband at the cafe and was married just behind it. She shared that it's being renovated and that the cafe will be re-opened soon as a 1950's soda shop.  

I made it about 10 miles outside of shamrock when I realized I forgot to get gas, so I went back into town to fill up my car.  1 great thing about Texas is the low price of gas.  After paying California prices, I appreciate the dip in cost. 

I spent 2 hours on the road to the World's Littlest Skyscraper in Wichita Falls, TX. Not much to see in but it's cute.

2 More hours on the road to 903 brewers.  I stopped in and had my first beer of the day and got a late lunch.  Turns out I was more tired than I thought so I got beers to go (for my trip home) and checked into my airbnb, wrote my final senior letters, and took a nap.  I went back to the brewers for dinner and another beer.  They make wonderful slushy beers and the food is pretty good too.  Total I had 2 beers there and I've got 12 coming back with me- I don't foresee them making it back to Seattle, but it will be nice to share the things I like with others on the journey. 

Airbnb Review:  OMG So cute.  It's a beautiful farm retreat. 

Pros: Garage Parking available (I chose not to use it, but it's there), Parking next to the home, deck and back patio with seating, A/C and 2 ceiling fans, Full sized Fridge and stove, counter seating in kitchen, quaint location, lovely view, Comfy (firm bed), Lots of pillows, Clean, Towels and shower goods provided, extra pillows and blankets if needed, hanging and drawer storage for longer stays. 

Cons: Really slow Wifi, but at the same time it was nice to be more unplugged, the welcome book is a bit confusing, it says you can walk the grounds, but then lists all the places you cannot walk- and in the end it felt like I could walk down the driveway, no dishwasher
