Was it worth it- Jan and Feb 2022

I thought it would be interesting to look back on my beauty purchases a year later.

Green- Would buy Again

Yellow- Indifferent

Red- Avoid/No

January

Sunday Riley- Wake up with me Morning Routine Kit $95. -No longer sold

  • CEO cream and have since purchased the full size several more times- I am a big fan.
  • Turmeric Glow Drops- Currently in my use it or lose it- the smell is intense.
  • Clay Slip Cleanser- Love this product- would buy a full size
  • Pink Drink- Nothing special
  • Good Genes- I've used other products that work just as well.
  • Eye brightener- thought I lost it- rediscovered it in a clean up and am loving it.
To try a bunch of products it was fine but pricey.  Now that I know what I do and don't like, it wouldn't be worth it for me.

Sol De Janeiro Hand Sanitizer $7 - No longer available.
After years of smelling like rubbing alcohol it was a nice treat to have a nicer smelling sanitizer- used it up.

Farmacy Clean Cleansing Balm- $34 - (Now $36)
This is not the same as the scented version. It doesn't work as well and it leaves a film on my skin.  I love their original version and will continue to buy that, but this simply isn't comparable.

Innis Free SPF $15 - (Now $16)
It's an SPF, it has a white cast, it's nothing special and certainly not worth the price tag. It worked but so do drug store SPFs. I think I passed this one on to my husband.

February:

Gisuo Shampoo and Conditioner $37 and $34 respectively.
I find it interesting that the shampoo can no longer the shipped to the US- at least according to Sephora.  I still have a Bottle of shampoo that I got as a gift.  It smelled amazing, and the shampoo is fine, but I found the conditioner to not give my hair what it needed. I did use it up. I wouldn't buy it again.

Perfume Discovery Set - $14.40
Considering I've only used a few of them a few times I consider this to be a waste.  I have a firm no buy on perfumes as I don't wear them enough and already have more than I will ever use.

So if I could do these months again- I wouldn't purchase most of what I did.
