Clock Hours Target Setting

During the summer of 2022 I completed 155.5 clock hours.  The reason for this- to work towards capping my pay scale.  In my district teachers are paid for the years of experience by rows and level of degree and additional learning credits they have by columns.  During the 2021-22 school year I moved columns to be at Masters + 45.  I wondered how quickly I could push to Masters +90 the top of our pay scale.  I realized I had credits from a grad program that never got added, so after adding those and 30 of my summer's clock hours that I completed before the end of the '22 school year I am at Masters and 55 credit hours.  This meant I needed 35 more quarter credit hours or 350 more clock hours to cap out.  Now this mission is how fast can I do this?

So here is where we are at going into the school year

350-120 over the summer = 230

Goal for this school year:

100 Clock hours through WEA asynchronous PD- I will keep track of those similarly to

25 Clock hours through a Personal Growth Plan

10 Through OSPI Trainings

50 through the PDs and Trainings of my normal Duties

= 185 During the 2022-23 school year

230-185= 45 to be completed during the summer of '23.

Move up pay scale for the 2023-24 school year.

Is it ambitious- Yes. Am I motivated by money- yes I am.

I'm also okay if I don't meet this goal.  My firm goal is to move columns during the 2023-24 school year.

So if you work with me or know me, check in every once in a while and see how the progress is going.  It helps to know other people know I'm doing this, because it keeps me on track with the schedules I've made for myself.

-Signing off for now
