Vaccine

I wanted to take a minute in the middle of a very busy day ( we move tomorrow) to celebrate the fact I got my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and have scheduled my 2nd dose.  It has been almost 1 year since we went into some form of lockdown and I am grateful to be taking 1 step towards normalcy.

Not much in my life is going to change.  I still won't leave the house very often. I will still do deliver and curbside pick up. I will still go to work in person 2-3 days a week. I will still work from home part time. I will still mask in pubic.

What will change is my anxiety level. That changed instantly when I scheduled my first dose.  The fact that I mattered enough to someone to be prioritized even though I teach in person and have been for 2 months. The fact that I have another barrier of protect for myself, my family and my students.  That matters. My mental health has greatly suffered in the last 12 months and I look forward to some relief.

It also makes me feel a lot better about traveling this summer.

Okay typing with one hand is hard, signing off for now
